CAPS Study — Central Asia
This project focused on the modelling, simulation, and analysis of electricity markets in Central Asia — covering Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan — under the assumptions of full market liberalization and regional integration.
The study considered Day-Ahead, Intraday, and Balancing markets, evaluating their potential roles in a unified regional energy market.
The final report identified key benefits and challenges for the region, providing insights for future energy cooperation and investment strategies.
